After having the last 10 days off, the shortie's come on quite a bit, holes on the scuttle have been finished off, roll over hoops finished off, hours and hours of rubbing down and filling and rubbing down again, its begining to drive me mad, check out the pictures and the bodyline, this line travels around the body and must be perfect still not happy with it, but getting there, oh check out the front wing for other trick.

Thanks Briain, great comment, cheers, as for hours spent... simple answer....... loads... but in real terms just on rubbing down filler, trying to get that dammed body line straight 8 days, yes 8 days, and to be honest its not like the car is caked in filler, its just that i seem to be totally pants.even made a little tool up to help with the shaping

i'll get there.... one day

progress this week has been good, rear subby taken out and put to one side, all underseal and old seam sealer removed, the remaining floor has been cleaned up, primed, all joints coated with seam sealer then every thing coated in shultz, newly painted subframe fitted with poly bushes and new camber brackets, subframe refitted.

today moved on to front subby took it out again, this time to clean off all the underseal and replace seam sealer, by the end of the weekend the under side should all be done, except for brake lines fuelline and hand brake

Looks good, where did you get the metal you used for the boot floor? and do you know if you can get it in larger sizes?

Hi 'Tomf' the metal used for the boot floor is from a Vauxhall astra estate/van spare wheel cover, at one point i was going to cut the floor out of a scrap van until we spotted the spare wheel cover, amazing what you can find at the scrap yard
