Thats speedo does look good. Did you just paint it? Also why arnt you fitting the golf headlights anymore?
Hi leaky, that speedo, funny you should ask, first off i stripped the speedo down, and started to prep the face, under all the black paint the face it is made from brass, i primed and painted the face then set about putting on the numbers, this was done using some 'craft' letters and numbers that you just rub over, 'using an old speedo for referance' then put it all back together
the golf headlamps look good but i can't get them to fit properly, i can get them in but with out a bodge or too, so i though stuff it and went for something that wouldn't give me any hassle

Got really inspired to get going on my roadster-projekt, might even borrow a few ideas from you :)
Thought you'd had the exhaust comming out of the rear valance (because of the bigger hole).
Thinking of doing so myself, therefor fixing the floor so the silencer can sit higher up. Gets more ground-clearance aswell that way :)
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words, hope it's given you a boost to get your roadster done and as for borrowing a few ideas 'just do it'
As for the exhaust, yes that was the first idea but after the flat floor being fitted this proved problematic, and the idea ditch,
bit of update, my mate Carl came round and started fitting the wiring loom, we have been trying to hide as much wire as possible, also te wiring loom as had extensive modification Carl has removed any wires not need and added wiring for the new megajolt.
while Carl was busy wiring, another mate Sam helped out making a bracket to hold the coil pack
my job was to sort out the fuel pump, i cleaned the pump and mounted it next to the fuel thank

Also fitting the fuel hose simple job took ages, took most of Saturday, and about 2 hours on Sunday,
Then to top it all off, when i removed the starter motor i dropped one of the bolts behind the flywheel, clutch out guts up went indoors and slammed door
Roll on tommorrow
