one of my mates has a mini that he bought about 20 years ago that's been over bored but with offset bores... then the builder has used dolomite pistons and decked the block and pistons at the same time to make them sit flush with the top of the block... i think his is near as makes no difference bang on 1400 cc

spent all day yesterday stripping off all the old blue paint off the clutch housing what a horrible job, clean it all off and repainted the engine BMC green that the second engine i've cleaned up and painted, just need to fit now thats next weeks job
just before i went in last night i had a play around with the dipstick, what do you think a bit different??

the cost was one cleaned up 37000 mile MG motor straight swap, result of the year

also had a think about the centre caps of the wheels with the original caps missing, it was time to use the old grey matter

i think it looks pretty good

Looks really good where you get the grill from looks great and how you get the center caps to stay sercure like that?

Hi thanks for the comments glad you like it, the grille is from a mk1 innocentti from e-bay
The centre caps are Dr Pepper's cans cut down with the ends bent over behind the wheel, the wheel will hold the cans on when the nuts are done up simples
