Nice! That grey is lovely! Just an idea, everything that is normally chrome ie headlight rings, bumpers mirrors etc. Paint em gloss black! Man that would look mean!! Haha looking good though!

Wheels centres will be gloss black and i've got a nice little black grill to be fitted

The shortie is home now i'll put up some more photo's soon

while the shortie has been at the bodyshop i needed something else to keep me busy at the weekend just a bit off spit and polish total cost 12.50 for polising mop

the polishing kit is off e-bay just type in "polishing kit" its has little 3" wheels and mandrel that fit in a drill

Man i am loving that grey!! It looks fantastic! Have you dicided what arches are going to cover those wheels? Always think that makes a lot of difference to the look of the car, mk1 lights look good and im generally not a fan of them lol

Hi, the arches going on shortie are minispeed group 5 i think, i found them in the shed, cleaned up painted body colour, as for the tail lights got a plan to change the look of them,

The engine is a bog standard MG1275 two owner, full service, 37000 miles, but again we might have a replacement

quick update, the shortie has a new engine 1380cc, only had a quick look but looks a bargin, whipped out a spark plug for a quick peek, looks like its never been run, pistons show no signs of carbon, the valves are spotless the flywheel is new possibly lighten, the water pump is new the head has been ported and fitted with double valve springs

now the shortie will go like a race car

more updates when i get back from France

Saw this "in the flesh" yesterday when I bought Colin's trailer from him. It is very nice indeed, well made and some very clever touches. especially like the boot floor. looking forward to seeing it on the road next year!

Been in france for the last 10 days, summer holidays great fun, arrived home today to some great news.

The new 1380 engine for the shortie has had a visit from a previous owner, he gave my mate Carl a little info on the engine

He says its a 1400 with a rebuilt metro turbo gearbox and 4 pin cross diff and a stage 5 head and the best bit, its never been run,

Any one know the difference between 1380 and 1400? apart from 200cc
