hi mate not that i want to put a downer on your plans but that metro looks like an auto. if you want manual i dont think the engine is going to be any use as i beleive the blocks are different and cant be put on manual box's

i have already looked into this the engine block's are exactly the same and can be transferred onto manual boxes but thanks for your opinion Liam

Good Project :( , although as said above , you cant use a auto engine on a manual box without loads of machining and modifactions....

They look the same, but you might just find once you pull it part they aren’t.

They look the same, but you might just find once you pull it part they aren’t.

Hi all thanks for the help with the engine i know what iam doing to it >_< , also the auto box on the car is shot as the casing has a hole in the bottom and gears have dropped out of the hole. anyway got the car home safley and had a good look around it wirled the enigne over and it fired :) only ran it for a second. if anyone wants any parts off this car just pm me it has 4 pot brakes on the front and is a rust free shell

for when the car is on the road i am going to convert the auto block to suit a manual gearbox and do a little bit of tuning and drop it in one weekend this is in a few years time when my insurance drops a bit. how are you getting on?

Hi all been busy this week got the car down on the floor and have started the slow rebuild of the interior. also got the roof painted black today no pictures though as it was freezing in the garage.

here are a few pics of what my mum dad and me have been up to.

some insulation i stolen from the metro i have trimmed down

my mum has lined the front pillars in vinyl and has also recovered my rear pillar covers nearly for the roof lining my nanan made to be fitted (thank you nanan) :)

thanks and yea there is a few bits left to clean up yet plus i think there's some more in the boot of the metro
