Probably a stupid question but I'm guessing that the difficulty in fitting is due limited access to the inner door, so would it be a lot easier with the door skin off? What I mean is would it be a kit worth fitting when I'm replacing the door skins or would it still be a nightmare?

well if your fitting the electric window kit, you'll be getting rid of the winder regulator, so there'll be a big hole in the inside of the door for access

I thought the motor worked on the actuator?

Think about it: just fitting a motor wouldn't raise the window without the actuator.

I may be wrong, but the kit i used worked with the existing actuator.

Iv got the electric window kit, i got it from wood and pickett, although Minispares, minispeed, wood and pickett, moss, to name a few, are the same kit. Fitting was rather fiddley and you need patience, but is well worth it, especially if its connected to the alarm / central locking like mine is, can put them up and down via the toad Alarm fob.

Can you get a picture up of the kit you have got, to see if its the actual kit in question, then i should be able to help

Regarding the slow window speed, they just need adjusting properly, loosen off all the bolts holding it into the door, operate the window and couple of times, which will make the mechanism sit where it wants to sit, then do it all up again. Thats what i found with mine anyway, mine are pretty rapid to be honest.

Cheers

Yep same kit as everywhere supplies. Templates should be available from one of the suppliers hopefully.

By the pictures, looks like everything is there.

On the bottom of each window you have 2 runners, on each motor mech, there is a bracket that bolts on/ off, with 2 square black plastic spinny things.... they slide into the runners on the window....

hope this helps in some way.

cheers

oooooooohhh..

that makes alot more sense now! i thought it'd be a bit dodgey with the glass just balanced on there!

cool! thanks for that!

i just really need the instructions now, the supplier from ebay has given me some info on how to wire up the switches so that they have the auto up and down feature when you hold the button longer than a second, i just need to work it all out in my head!
