Thanks for the comments guys, I am looking to get the paint of my clubby bonnet started with a DA but there are so many layers of paint, it would take me ages. Went into halfords to saw nitromors, is it any good, any other brands out there?

starchem paint stripper is the only stuff that properly works now
a friend of mine runs a body shop and thats all he will use
use it in a well venitaled area as it'll make your eyes water - god knows what'll do to your skin as all you hear is sizzling and its clean metal within 5 mins haha

The ingredient was methylene chloride or dichloromethane, it a brilliant solvent but unfortunately it has serious drawbacks especially if the ventilation isn't so good, it can also be absorbed through the skin.Nitromors is good but dear and it's not as good as it used to be as they had to take out an 'ingredient' which made it so brilliant. Try the diall one (B&Q) it's far cheaper and does the job
It's use has been liked to serious health issues including heart problems, cancer and deaths, so whilst it worked well it wasn't without its downsides.
It been removed since 2010 in publically available paint stripper, so it's a case of persevering with the replacements, sanding or having it soda blasted or similar.

you can still get it easily enough, just a case of finding someone who sells it and filling a form in.

I gotta ask, why won't you use sandblasting?
Any quality stripper works pretty well. They're messy, and they're hell on the environment, but they're usually fast and cheap.
Devote from Eastwood is amazing stuff.
If you want cheap, use Methyl Ethyl Ketone, available at most building stores. Its not very gloopy, but if you put a towel on the panel and poor the MEK on the towel it'll stick.
yore towel will be unusable within a few hours tho.
Another low tech option is scraping. Use a draw scraper you get from a home improvement store. Keep it wicked sharp. Its labor intensive, but its not mess at all and it costs maybe 10 pounds for a scraper and a spare blade.
