Yo all, right i have blown my 1340 (oops) it stud in a gargue for a wile and i think the rings were weak and one failed and wrote of the block becasue it can;t be bored any more, so i am having a Brand spanking new 1380 built by morspeed (top bloke by the way) i am just wondering now if i should use a electric fuel pump for it now? wile im waiting for the engine to be done i can put it in. if i do need one which?? i don't know jack about them. please point me in the right direction, i will ask morspeed when i go there next but i though i would ask u lot as well.

You should be ok with a mechanical one if your running an SU because its driven by the cam and produces the right amount of fuel for road driving.

If your running a Weber or gonna do some compertitions, then go for a Facet fast road pump (bout £30 from Mini Sport) but you might need to get a regulator to bring the preasure down. These pumps give 7 lbs of fuel preasure, where as a mechanical only gives 3 lbs.
