Try a body shop supplier?

I've tried a few local ones but obviously they are running their stocks down.
The main suppliers only seem to sell the tinters which would be far more than I need (and obviousl;y horrendously expensive) - I only want a litre of mixed paint!

I'll try my guy in the morning - he used to be a prime PPG outlet, but in more recent times is pushing more standox products - he still has the full PPG lacquer range though, so maybe :w00t:

Do you have a Brown Brothers nearby as I think they are owned by PPG.

Roofless - if your guy can help it would be appreciated. I have found one place on line but they don't half want to screw me on price!

Mrslaphead - no joy from Brown Brothers. Deltron is getting increasingly harder to get as everyone is phasing it because of the latest paint laws. I can get the colour in other makes but as I already have 2 litres in PPG I just want a bit more of the same. The problem is Silver tinters get used in so much that it is about the first thing everyone runs out of (that and white base color!).

A mate of mine used to be branch manager of the Preston Brown Brothers so I will ask him if he knows of any way of tracking it down.
It hasnt been helped as they closed half their branches down last year so some of his contacts no longer work there.

Ive just spoke to him and he said ( as daft as this sounds) if you know the car year and colour then he can possibly help
Apparantly there will be approx 20 different deltron 199s so even if you could just get the colour eg red , green etc it might help.
But if you knew what it was originally from it would be better.

Cheers
Chris

It is Toyota Alpine Silver 2CT Paint Code TOY199 in Standard shade.

I do not have a year of car as it was picked from the PPG swatches, not specifically from a Toyota. However the above is what my usual paint man used from his PPG mixing system and should, I am reliably informed, be sufficient info to get the same mixed again.

I thought we had tried our local Brown Brothers but have since realised that it was one of the ones closed down a while ago and is now a different company - possibly why they can't help!

PS - if I had to go to Preston to collect that would be no problem :w00t:

Hi,
been out all day so only just sent the details to him.
The problem with Brown Brothers now is that the North West is covered by the Manchester Branch (I believe) and that goes from Manchester to carlisle.
If he can get some I will let you know where/how to pick it up
Cheers
Chris

OK, having dug the paint out we have it transpires that it is Max Meyer I have, not PPG - presumably we'd already run out of hte PPG tinters last time.

So - anyone got contacts to get Max Meyer paint mixed?!
