So now the engine bay is all done, I've moved on to the boot. It's just been left for about 3 years after all the body work was done. Doesn't look too good and lets the car down:

Quick rub down and some filler to smooth the panel ridge:

A couple of coats of high build primer:

And then I ran out of paint :xxx:

Looks a lot better, I have to paint in my boot shortly, but have had overspray issues as it can't escape easily, am thinking of using an extractor in one of the rear light holes to help. Also need to use my mini gun as not easy with full sized spraygun

Finally got more paint:

Sprayed the tank too, meant to buy gloss, but ended up with satin. Pics don't do it justice, but I'm loving the satin finish on the tank:

Turns out my battery was too big:

C872804B-AEA5-4CD0-8A56-A479E8F66030-106

Cleaned up my washer bottle:

0E8A54C2-E97F-4B63-A48A-70255ABEC78C-106

A64EDA39-67A1-474C-803E-692C87CF58C0-106

So I had a boot lid liner made by Dave @ Custom Trim Creations. I spotted him on eBay, sent him some mock ups of how I'd like my liner to look so it matched my seats, and Dave worked his magic.

E0284688-860C-4ABF-ADBC-DE74EFC4F111-249

Secured with a few self-tappers:

A508F31B-90AD-4FD3-BFD8-199D2065EC42-106

Fitted one of Smiffys Shiney Bits to fit with the screws:

E875F6CB-A382-47E1-893D-848D781078A8-106

New battery fitted with lid and strap:

96B62BA9-2208-4AFE-A131-28AED61D1C2E-106

Lid back on the car with the new boot cables. I'm not sure about the cable cover I've used to hide the boot light wire:

70330675-A91C-4DB0-9842-B2ADA33C3B78-106

1F33863F-5CD9-47A1-A9F7-8202C0E8D379-106

Also had a wheel cover lying about....had to deflate it to get it in under the fuel tank:

ED130558-ECCC-4ED7-AC6B-E7D4BBB7FD72-106
