So I fitted the centre console and mounted the CB. But the console just looks awful, so I've ripped it out.

Posted Image

I mounted it under the dash rail on the passenger side. I'm going to make an extension running along the bulkhead, and then up by the drivers air vent. So that's where my mic will be.

Mangaged to snap this up off ebay for £8.

Posted Image

It was a liitle dusty and dirty, so I took it to bits and cleaned it up:

Not a massive difference, but it's nicer. :)

Had the first load of bits arrive this week (Minispares were a massive joke last week, really upset me how I was treated). Bigger front brakes coming this week.

Why do they say MINISPORT?

Woop! Had to wait a while, but they're here! They feel a bit weighty, but after reading the mini weights thread, I reckon fronts and rears will be around 5-6kg lighter overall! :D

Anyone got any little tricks of the trade for fitting these? Anything I should know?

Talking to myself? :tumble:

I've only just realised (after 6 years) that my alloys are genuine Rover Sportspack. I'd always assumed that, considering the condition, they were cheap copies.

They're a bit knackered...

As I've only got a couple of steelies, I had to improvise for 3-4 days....so I stuck the Yaris's space saver on.

14's on a Mini!!!! :D

Ended up with a different wheel on each corner. Do you think it will catch on?

Bought these too, nice read for £4. :)

So I've had a dog of a month, left my MED invoice on the kitchen table, and the company I used to refurb my sportspacks took the Michael (Took legal action and I won!)

But happily, they are back (done by someone else):

Took my head off too yesterday, bit messy, but not that bad!

Long story short, they did them and they came back awful. They were full of black spots in the paint and the lacquer reacted in points.

So naturally I sent them back. Then when they turned up again, they hadn't done anything to them, and had the nerve to charge me twice.

I promptly told them where to go, and took out legal action (one of my friends is a solicitor). I promptly got my wheels back, a written apology, and a compensation payment.

So I got a friend to do them for me instead. Matt silver in the day and with a faint sparkle in the sunlight!

And yeah, I like red! :)

That's terrible. But at least your friend was able to help. Good that you got your money back too.

Lulu is looking wonderful! I have some red seats on order and it's nice to see someone else with such gorgeous seats. They'll be a bugger to keep clean!

Thank you!

Yeah...I'm going through leather conditioner quickly! But that sense of satisfaction when they're clean is sooooo worth it!

I can imagine! It is really nice when they're clean though.

On another note, how did you get that Smiths oil pressure gauge for £8?? That has got to be the bargain of the month!

Little update, I didn't like how my reg plate vibrated (it was stuck on), so I took it off and drilled it. But then i didn't like the white bolt in the "P".....so I got busy with a marker pen! (Yes, I know that I probably wouldn't have this issue if the plate wasn't incorrectly spaced!)
