ok, ok, slight change of colour.... i'm so indecisive!

Its RAL 6019, peppermint green....

It's a lot like the colour of copper once it has aged so should go well with all my other parts! still keeping the pinstriping idea too.
dropping the frame off tonight so no going back!

Just a quick update. After a lot of faffing around trying to arrange a drop off time I ended up dropping the frame off last wednesday night at the powdercoaters house. I should be picking the frame up tomorrow so fingers crossed!!! I have been itching to build the bike back up and really want to get it done this weekend! The pile of bits has been taunting me for the past week, saying "build me, build me!" but I kinda need the frame for that.

Anyway as long as I can pick up my frame and get the bottom bracket bearings and cranks by saturday i'll be building it on sunday..... hopefully!

So its built..... mostly!

Frame back from powder coaters friday night.

And lots of pic of it fully built, aside form the bottom bracket, cranks and pedals which are proving to be awkward as the bike is so old and german that standard parts won't fit the diameter of the bearing cups. I'm working with the guys at my local bike shop to get this done.... asap! I want to ride! :(

I think i'd prefer it with straight forks myself but the powdercoat quality looks really good . My mate has a fixed gear and it's brilliant.

Edit: Didn't mean to put a downer on your bike by the way :).

No worries, the forks are an aquired taste! haha i've been looking at getting some straight forks but I'm gonna wait until these ones get really old and i get bored of them!

build one!!! fleabay! as long as you have a good bike shop near you then anything is possible! but i would say go for something like your mate raliegh or a uk frame as its been a nightmare trying to find parts to fit the old german bottom...

Looks great pete.

Eying one up on eBay quite local to me as we speak, seems to have a lot of interest though but hopefully it doesn't go up much more.
