A pat on the back there dude!!!! Weld test passed lmao.

Looks 300% stronger now you've got the hang of it!

It's really good to see someone on a forum not get snotty and really listen and learn! Glad I flagged it up now rather than just let you get on with it as it was and i'm sure you're glad too!

Mild steel Mig welding really is a piece of wee to do once you get to grips with the settings as you've found out!

Jon.

Well done so far I am very impressed.

Is that a standard Micra exhaust manifold I see there ?

Thought so, makes sense to keep it simple, how are you thinking of connecting the remainder of the exhaust to the manifold without using a cat which I think comes as standard on the Micra ?

Didn't know you had coilovers mate, with the new engine and tansmission does that mean you need an IVA? I'll check my stack of mini worlds to double check.

You've clearly been busy, drive shafts and an exhaust all made up, any of it on yet?

Also, with the horrible position of the oil filter, is some kind of remote filter an option?

Steering and body makes 7 points, it'd be pretty mean if they decided not to allow anything for axles and suspension.

great progress as usual bro. i've not been on much and i've missed a bunch!

by the way, maybe its because i'm in the tropics, but it might be a good idea to fit a shroud around that radiator fan as the air will experience centrefugal force outward and not be entirely directed thru your radiator

Beat me to it, the fan will defo be more efficient if it's boxed in. You can probably find something suitable in the scrappers. A trick I've found useful - search "radiator fan" on Ebay to get a first idea - much quicker than popping all those bonnets to find anything promising.
