Just nipped up with the speedbrace - no need to 'torque' them.

Problem here is that if you're not comfortable with tightening spark plugs,.. it's useful to have the correct figure so that you can get it right first time, slowly you'll get the feel of what 'just nipped up' is.

It's hard when you're doing things for the first time without instructions and figures to use as reference - and that is when mistakes are made.

I wonder how close to the correct torque figure, 'just nipped up' is? probably quite close i imagine because you've been doing this for years - but would a complete beginner know? I know I can gauge how tight a spark plug should be and I know when to stop tightening the blessed things because I've done it a million times and have a good feel for these things, this has come though experience. Something not all Forum users have at their disposal.
