it'll be a low mileage 1275 if all goes to plan, and then in the future ill be looking into turbo'ing it

rain stops play today, i did want to get the passenger side all finished off, and make a start on the driver side turret, but that will have to wait until next weekend now. on the plus side though ill be making a start on cleaning and refurbing my radius arms that i picked up from peskett... cheers again mate, life saver lol will get some pics up later!

i hope so! gonna be completely different to whats on the scene at the moment what with the mk1 look being massive at the moment! its a definite labour of love, hoping to get it finished for this years london to brighton!

made a start on cleaning up my radius arms tonight, stripped them down, inspected the bearings etc, coated them in degreaser to get rid of all the crap on them before i paint and reassemble them tomorrow, alls looking good on them so once repainted and built back up, they are ready to fit.

this will be my last update as it seems like this isnt a very popular thread... never mind! keep an eye out for my clubvan at london to brighton!

ahhh man dont not update anymore its a cracking build will be worth it in the end, and very informative build for the likes of people like me specially the body work pics What are the bearing like in your arms? if they need replacing, how much are they if you get them pressed at the local machine shop?

but yeah keep the brilliant work up and will be worth it in the end man and keep the updates coming or else

Yea don't stop updating this! I'm always reading threads on here but dont always comment. I think most people are the same. I don't get many people commenting on my threads either but I still keep updating them.

i suppose so, i might do 1 or 2 more updates, but it'll be when cars ready for paint, and when the cars finished i think, i wont bother with the smaller bits like the welding pics anymore lol

thought i might aswell update it, got nothing better to do when its raining lol mangaged to clean up and paint my radius arms in the shed, the bearings etc are all sweet as, as are the brakes, all seem to be nearly new! so happy about that, ordered a pair of radius arm rebuild kits from ebay, only need the nuts n washers really, and probably 1 of the shafts as 1 of mine has some thread missing, so will swap this out with the new item, once the heal board is finished, stone chipped and painted, i will fit up the beam axle and the refurbed radius arms and my spax coil overs! cant wait! ill get some pics of the radius arms in a sec

as said here are a few pics of the radius arms after a check over and a paint...

internals are all good, new bearings have been fitted, new shoes and brake cylinders!


quick 1st coat of paint, gonna be doing another tomorrow incase there are any bits missed
