the white mini? it was in miniworld on the "your mini" section, and also i did a build thread for it on miniworld facebook page... heres a few pics

this is a quick mock up of what my estate-van will look like, give or take a few details

only a small update but with a few added piccies this time new passenger floor pan seam welded in, seam sealed then painted with rubberised anti rust paint (used on the underneath of trains, paints on green, turns into a very tough wearing black once dry!) and a few shots of it in my "workshop" lol i also picked up some steel tube to turret my arches with regarding my coilovers, hopefully if the weather holds out, ill be doing that on sunday

new floor pan in and in 1st coat of paint



had to repair the top of the wing after a previous bodged repair consisting of part of a coke can, several rivvets and filler!


you can see where i sliced the rear section of wing off top make access to the flitch repair and scuttle corner repair much easier, then welded it back on with the new section let in along the scuttle join, excuse the red paint drips and runs, its only temporary to give the bare steel some protection from damp, hopefully stop it rusting before i get chance to get it in primer and top coat...

i would do. but then again it wouldnt be my work, want to do all the fabrication work myself thanks for the offer though! fingers crossed the turrets will be in on sunday!

did some more work on the estate today, got the passenger side rear wheel arch turreted, here are some pics!

started off by cutting out the old turret..




offered up the steel tube to get a good location for it..




after a little trimming, and some bending, i ended up with a tight fitting turret




then started to weld it in (including the top plate that coilover bolts into)..




all seam welded in, and making strengthening plates to beef it up further..




all done! just the drivers side to go!

had another productive day today, ill let the pictures do the talking








you may recognise this face... look in the march 2011 mini magazine in the "on the job section"!





got 1 van side in, etch primed on the outside and seam sealed on the inside, took some doing as i had to tack weld it in until it was all seam welded in, to avoid heat distortion, and its gone very well! had a helper in the form of DaveVader who held the side in place while i marked out where to cut! thats pretty much the majority of the passenger side done, just need to sort the sill and heal board, ill be making my own sills also! watch this space!

Hmmmm them sides looks familiar good work on the turrets and sides though mate, going to look amazing and i think you need to come and show me some of your skills

cheers man, yeah ill have to drive over when my estate-van is done, n can check what needs doing on yours! mine should be in paint begining of next month if all goes to plan
