as you know the engine looked like this when i bought it...



so tday i have spent a few hours degreasing it, pressure washing it, painting and detailing it... think it turned out pretty well! just need my orange ht leads, and orange rad hoses and its ready to drop in! what do you think?

engine looks much tidier! random question... were you in the april issue of mini mag? thought i recognised you sitting on one of your bmx's!

yeah that was me lol hopefully gonna get in the mag again when this project is finished

few pics of the mini up the paint shop... my group 6 wheel arches that i put inside it seemed to have grown somewhat though...






not much has been done yet, bit of filler work has been done though, but once they get on it, they will hammer through it and get it all done (hopefully in the next few days)

Looking good lewis you'll have to pass me the details of the company when i get closer to paint, but at the rate im going it wont be ready for paint till 5010

small update... no paint yet! but got these in the post...



also picked up a good 2nd hand tank from classicminibits, cheers mate, much appreciated! and cheers to minijosh for the master cylinder!

will hopefully get some pics of the van in paint sunday, as its being blitzed then!

with just over 4 weeks to go, a mini in boxes and an unpainted shell, its gonna be close to wether i make it to L2B, i got everything crossed that i can build it up in less than 3 weeks (working on it outside on a gravel drive after work and weekends only!) gonna be an epic build... fingers crossed the shell is back soon!

Good luck with the deadline. I know how you feel working on the drive, not the best !! Love the hoses, getting some of those myself when I am up to that point.

cheers mate, its gonna be bloody tight to get it built in time! but i have faith in my skills, and while the shell is away being painted, i have been refurbishing everything i can think of so it will basically be a bolt it together kit, so will go together nicely, all fresh painted, cleaned and non greasy parts are always a lot nicer to work with, and look tidier! fingers crossed!

anyways been up the paint shop just to check progress, not as much as id hope to be done, but heres pics anyways... more prep work done and should be in paint by friday..

Good things come to those who wait! . I'm also going to be at L2B this year, so you can get a cheeky first look at the wellers im refurbing, great car by the way!
