Im sure we've all heard of the recent news about our Taffy, a guy that was very close to my heart and certainly a huge roll model in my life.
I know there is a chats of various tributes that will be taking place Via TMF, but i am taking charge of the International Mini Model collectors forum's tribute, of which Darryl was a regular poster, and always had value to add to any thread that happened to appear. I'd like to bring this tribute onto TMF too, because it will be something for us all to keep of Taffy, a memory that will be around forever to remind us of the kind of guy that he was!
I'l be producing a LTD line of Taffy models. Design is unconfirmed as of yet.
This is where you guys come in. I would like to include a small scroll, or similar, that i can put in the box with the model. It could be the size of an A4 sheet in the end, we'l see how it go's. The idea is, if you have a memory of Taffy that you would like to share, you can send it to me via PM, and i will add it to the appropriately decorated scroll. Members of IMMCC will be doing this, too, aswell as any other Mini clubs of which Taffy was a member of. I feel this gets everybody involved, not just Me, Brian, all of us, the people that Taffy knew and loved.
They will be reasonably priced, this way we can donate the money earned to Taffy's family, who will donate it to Taffy's chosen charity, Ty Hafan, of which they donate to each month.
