Im sure Martin will be more than happy to knock some stickers up for us. Im going to try and get in touch with Corgi on behalf of IMMCC (See sig) to try and get 50 or so models made up as he was a very active poster on there, too. I dont mind paying for this myself, Im just thinking maybe TMF could get something similar done, just something we can all keep in memory of such an inspriational figure to the Mini scene?

I think I have a GREAT idea! How about we change the red Mini at the top of the forum's page to Taffy's Mini? What do people think?

This should be done.

Is anyone close to him able to get a DSLR over to his place to snap some photos of the Mini and present the idea to his family?

hopefully we (south Wales minis) can arrange something in the up coming south Wales mini show as a tribute to a great man. its such a shame that he wont be there as his love for minis inspired me to buy my first one over 10years ago.

I am very new to the Mini scene, and new to this forum - but when I was searching the forums, looking to buy my first Mini and trying to find out what I needed to look out for, Taffy's name always seemed to appear. He was almost ever present!

I never met you Darryl, but it is obvious to me that the Mini community has lost a great character and a wealth of experience.

You, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a sad loss to the Mini world.

RIP Taffy, you'll be so missed.

I've just come on here and not read all the comments yet, it's such a shock! Very sad news indeed.

Taffy, as we knew him, was such a great guy and I have honestly never 'met' anyone with such a passion for minis! He was a fountain of knowledge and his legacy of mini videos are something to appreciate for many years to come.

Thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time xx

Really sad. Top bloke, very knowledgeable. He'd probably forgotten more about minis than most of us can ever hope to know.

That would be brilliant. Ive still got a nice big folder of letters and brochures and such that he's sent me over the years on my pc so i can chuck them in where necessary.

I've got lots too which he's sent me if needed :(

Once of the last things he said to me was to buy a mini I've been looking at for a while now, I'm sorely tempted to keep it as a tribute to a great friend.
