Didn't know where to post this but a couple of weeks before Taffy died (and I never saw it) he sent me an email via MCR website with a U-tube clip for a 1960's album/LP.....featuring a Mini- of course !!!! He thought it was a Super (of which I have three !) anyay I half heartedly took a look (meaning to do it properly later)and that was it. Tonight I took a proper look and guess what.... I am sure he is absolutely right.......but he's not here for me to tell him, is he ? (

Thankyou Sal,
He would've known for defo it was a super.

I sadly never got to meet taffy, but i know he used to leave some comments on my mini videos on youtube. He seemed to be a really nice guy with, of course, lots of experience with minis I also loved the videos he posted and archived on youtube, many would had been forgotten and never seen again!
Please accept my dear thoughts and condolences for you and your family. RIP
Alex
I've only just seen these posts, as i've had builders in last couple of weeks and not been near a pc.
Youve all been fantastic and I really appreciate everything youve done for me and darryls family.
hope you have an excellent time in Germany, I hope to be going to Castle Combe with the kids, but not in the mini.
See you all soon

Taffy was certainly one of the most knowledgeable guys I had ever come across. Having just lost another good friend on the Mini scene on June 3rd I have been away from this forum.
It was Kam who told me that someone else well known on the scene had passed on......
I just didn't expect it to be Taffy.

Is there anyway we can organise an event in his honour each year?
ideas people!!!
I'm sure it can be arranged
An annual run to his favourite mini spot is an idea?

As we're approaching the anniversary of Taffy's passing, maybe something as simple as a post of remembrance to be initiated by the admins... a virtual moment of silence/applause or even a cursory honk of the hooter...

Thoughts with Marie, family and friends on the anniversary of Darryl aka Taffy1967's passing.
Still sadly missed here on TMF and by all his many friends in the Mini community.
