Leave the rollerskate look to the boy racers. Most Minifans will insist that small is beautiful where Mini wheels are concerned. Anything wider than 5-6 inches makes them handle worse.175/50/13 is the largest commonly used tyre anything much bigger won't fit on the back and would mess up the gearing to make it very s-l-o-w.

Interesting. What kind of differnec in handling do the wider wheels make? Cooper Sport has 6" rims and only feels a touch sloppier than my old mayfair in the bends, but I've always liked the look of wider wheels under the sportspack arches. Am I creating a problem if i go for 7" wheels?
Long way off being able to afford new alloys, but would rather know first if they're going to mess up the handling.

I had 7x13s on my car, they do look nice, but the car tracked every grove in the road, I dropped to 6x12s, the car was a lot faster, the handling was improved massively.
A lot faster ?
Due to what exactly?, The rolling radius in simular as is the rolling resistance?
