Hi,
I would like one of your bars please with the same type harness fitting as the one above in these pics please.
I would like one that bolt's into the inner side of the wheel arches though.
Please send me a PM.
Many thanks.

Sorry mate I dont do that type just the ones that bolt to the inner arches so you can still run a cage. If you need one let me know and I will see what I have in stock next week

Cheers

Has anyone noticed any difference in handling with one of these fitted?
Looks like it might stiffen up the rear arches a bit, and obviously that would work back to the shocks...

Just considering fitting one in the boot to stiffen things up a bit more when i get an alloy tank...

It will help to stiffen the shell up to some degree but I doubt whether it would be noticable on a road car, but I could be wrong. The main purpose is a more secure way to fit the harnesses and in a better position than simply using the seat belt mounting points which really are too low to get the harnesses at the optimum height. HTH but I would be interested to hear peoples view on their cars before and after fitting one of my bars.

Reason i ask is because i will be haveing a cage which has a harness bar. but there wont be anything behind the bulkhead.
With an alloy tank i will be able to fit a bracing bar, just dont know if its needed or not.

I would say it depends what type of rear suspension you are going for. If you have a standard rear subframe using cones and shocks then just the cage will be fine but if you are using a beam with coilovers then an additional bar accross the rear as close to the tower tops as possible will deffo be a good idea. I fitted a strut barace in my old shell like this to just tie the towers together and try and reduce flex in this area. HTH

i must say, i tested my bar to destruction thursday morning, and they are very sturdy, i had a heavy impact to my passenger rear quarter then my drivers rear quarter, and my work said if the bar werent their it would have been a whole lot worse, bar is still straight and perfect to use again, so top quality product ;)
