Hello everybody,

I have a pair of Cobra Monaco front seats. While they look the part for sure they almost instantly cause me neck pain and over long journeys are a slow form of torture. I was looking at some Corbeau GTB recliners (http://www.minispeed...liner-seat-grey) which look very nice, but are expensive (especially in light of my recent MOT)
Anyone got any recommendations for a sporty looking fast road seats? Around £100 per seat is more in my price range.

I would be happy to put in a pair reclaimed from a scrapped car. Are there any common donor vehicles i should look out for? I heard people lifting seats from Toyota MR2's and the like.

I am of course keeping an eye on the classified forum board here.

thanks all

I won some Corbeau GTB recliners off ebay, they are well comfy and have really good support.

Here is the link, as you can see they were a steal

Another pair here with mini subframes £49 starting bid:

I got a pair for £135, i have no idea why they don't hold their value as they cost £500+ for a pair new. They fit brilliantly, pretty light and very comfy. They only reason i wouldn't want them is if i wanted a classic look.

May I suggest mk2 MR2 seats? Shouldn't be too hard to get hold of as they do rust and people have a habit of putting them through hedges :) Runners don't look too hard to adapt and they have adjustment for everything - even the side bolsters can be adjusted in or out depending on how large or small you are :P Personally I have these in the kit car;

And these in the racer;

Passenger one is fitted now for scaring people on track days :lol: I'm told they were optional Escort Mexico ones, and they are trimmed in Ford type cloth, but uselessly I have no idea on the make. As buckets go they are good tho.
