My Brake Pressure Reducing Valve (Dual Brake Line) has sprung a leak- it appears that at least one of the seals has cratered.
It is an '89 30th Anniversary 998 with discs front and drums rear.
It appears that post '78 Minis use the same valve. Does anyone know of a supplier of a repair/refurbishment kit for these valves. Mini Spares and other suppliers I have checked only carry the entire valve assembly. My valve is in good shape and only seems to need a new seal. I would rather not buy an entire new valve- they are quite pricey.
If I can find a repair kit does anyone have a pigeon to bring it to North America?

hiya sorry but i dont know of anywhere to get a rebuild kit. I dont think it is a common failure point well i have never had one go on any of my cars and have run some cars without it. so if you can't find a rebuild kit im sure a second hand one will get you going. if i see any seal kits i will send you a link.

If you mean the thing which bolts onto the bulkhead below the servo.... the Brake Pressure Regulator, they are a non-service item... which means there isn't a service kit, if they fail, you have to replace them....
Maybe worth you reading this article, describes a method of how to change it to a bias valve.

Thanks all for the quick replies. I have managed to solve my immediate problem by pirating the valve from my project car to keep my daily driver on the road. Looking at the articles on Mini Spares (thanks for the link Guess-Work) I am rethinking my brake set up when I get to that point in my Countryman rebuild. The adjustable bias valve makes a lot of sense and I am now leaning in that direction. Anyone got a spare one of those around?
