I wondered why the german export ltd editions had fifferent arches and other stuff.

Mines (noe in sweden) has the "german" sports pack arches (which if he reads this asphault, will be shouting, "theirs no such thing, OK thats the generic name).

Also these cars are Spi but came with as standard 13 X6 wheels did th eUk models of the same age come with thw "big" wheels. i dont think thet did, but why not?

Ok cheers

ok a few questions:

1. have you changed the wheels? as they arent standard wheels!
2. what model is it? as its not a cooper unless it has had a respray! as it doesnt have a white or black roof, but the badge says it is!
3. thats not the standard arangement of spots and fogs, they look like wipac aftermarket spots on a bar!

they arnt standard wheels me dont thinks :)

it looks nice and flash tho :P

p.s. get the sill primed and topcoated the same as the car if there in good nick, front left looks a little sagged, maybe need a set of new donut on the front? and slam the rear a bit and its a winner.

there defo not the standard wheels, which i was just wondering if he was under the impression they are and getting confused! as if the wheels were changed to wider ones from the standard 12 inch wheels, then the arches will of been extended to house them, meaning the arches arent standard either!

it is a gorgeous car though!

The Silverstone was (as far as I can find out) a special edition for Germany only - a quick search suggests there were other Rover models with Silverstone SE's - not just the Mini. The standard wheel (according to the SC Parts online catalogue here) was a 6x13" Revolution RFX which was also fitted to Lamm Cabrios I believe,

What about the blue star? i haven't read the rest of the thread yet by the way.

Edit: just read it, not really related at all but its a cool German Mini.

But it's not a standard car, it's a special edition. 2 special editions that were available in the UK did have 13" wheels before the Sportspack was introduced, these were the Lamm Cabrio and the ERA Turbo. Germany got lots of unique special editions and the look of them is purely down to marketing in the region.

Yeah its a silver bullet 400 made.

the piucs posted by steelelf are how the car looked out of the box, i bought it with the wheels on the car at the moment. the original which where also 13" are long lost. the arches are original.

yip also thefogs and spots are new, I didnt like the black plastic on the original, still have them though to pop back on if needed.

rick spi, 10 points for observation. i have a new set of of cones and hilos sittimng on th dining table, waiting to go on the car. its having a bit of paint at the moment, but get it back this week.

minimad craig, the blue star is basically the same car but blue (obviously).
