the engine is a 1293 with CA2 cam , stage 2 head 35.7 inlet valves standard exhaust .. 59d dizzy .. HIF44 carb ....BFY needle fuel reg, electric fuel pump 14 degrees timing
the car runs at idle like a bag of bolts .. you have to put your fot down for it to wind up ..
new plugs , con and points.. timing 14 degrees 1500 revs ... still the same
complete carb rebuild .. 3.0 on the co meter at idle ... still the same
no air leaks etc etc ..
got to the point now where it is starting to get me down, so off to a rolling road for them to check out and see if they can get it running right
but dont know where i can take it that knows the minis ..
i live near Canterbury

how much does Gerald Dale charge - as he is much closer than the place i normally use.
can he also do megajolt?
gerald recently did a club day for us which was about £90 per car however i imagine he did a small discount due to being a club event, so imagine youd be looking around £100 mark but couldnt say for sure , will say however much it is it would be well worth it, hes incredibly good

Gerald Dale charged me 70 quid cash last November. To be honest though, I wasn't massively impressed. I really didn't feel that my car ran any better for being on his rollers. Had hoped for a lot more than a print out for my money.how much does Gerald Dale charge - as he is much closer than the place i normally use.

I don't know if he 'does' Megajolt but it's not difficult to get the hang of it so I'm sure he'd give it a go.
mcaville - Did you ask for a tuning session or simply a dyno run? I'd expect a tuning session to cost upwards of £100, which leads me to suspect he thought you only wanted a dyno. Either that or your Mini was running really well anyway and he couldn't make it any better?
