Metro Info?

The problem I have is that sourcing parts and info is a bit hard, I've managed to find some bits from Best Of British in Darlaston (excellent place) but other than that, it's like searching for gold dust. Ebay is a bit pricey (I'm not paying £80 for a set of tatty Metro alloys with crap tyres) Just wondered if anyone knows of any decent places in the west midlands for Metro parts?

However, I do have a brand spankers pair of metro radius arms if you're after some

there is an amazing stock of parts held at 'the barn' owned by members of the metro owners club, located in Wetherby.
"The barn is currently the home to aprox 20 x AR/MG cars and thousands of new and used Austin rover/Rover and MG parts"
join up and have a look round!

I've tried joining the Metro owners club but I think I have to use a non web based email address.....which I can't remember at all. Will definately have a look into the suggestions!

Moved to General Chat. Despite what Leyland thought at the time, a Metro is not a Mini!
Shame this forum doesn't think the same about the BMW hatchback and no I'm not BINI bashing, just proving a point because the BINI effectively replaced the Metro (it got shown to the press on TV around the time the Rover 100 got axed).

I'd still rather drive my Metro than a BINI

I honestly can't stand the Rover 100 K-series and the main decision for having the Metty (I was looking for another Mini project at the time) was -
1) price (£195 with MOT)
2) Condition (NO rust whatsoever, which is a miracle)
3) My familiarity with the A-series
4) I'm not paying daft money for a rusting heap of a Mini "project" and I really love the Mini but a rust heap is a rust heap, no matter what car it is.
5) No matter what the Metro flamers say (and it seems ok to flame Metros), they ain't bad cars (apart from the *melon* hydragas suspension)

I like A series Metros

Good on you for choosing a Metro to restore. To quote an old cliche "you don't see em about anymore", and after all they are a part of the Minis history.
