Rear subframes are not hard to fit, providing you can get the old one off ok. Have a go!!

Yesterday I took my rear subframe off in 20 minutes and i'm no professional. There are only 10 bolts holding it on the shell.

I am selling the rear sunframe, its in good condition and also complete with everything that you would need including bolts and mounting.

You could have it for £80 if you'd like?

Its currently on ebay at:

Many thanks

If it all comes off easily then £500 is probably a little high. I'd have thought that between £300 and £400 would have been closer to the mark.

However if lots of bolts snap (took the radius arm off the SKY at the weekend and three bolts sheared flush) then could be £500 or more if they've got to start chopping into the heel board.

Cheers
Steve

Depends if the subframe is Genuine or not - Gen subframe fitted for £500 seems reasonable - the frame is over £300 these days. If Non-gen, that seems a bit steep,

If you're getting a garage to supply and replace the rear subframe, considering it's not only removing & refitting the rear subby but also the exhaust pipe, swapping over the trailing arms, suspension and brakes from one frame to the other then I think £500 is not overly expensive...

That one on ebay was an absolute bargain for someone. You could have done that swap at the side of the road - easily in a day! The problems come when the old subby is removed - and all the other rot damage is revealed........
