Going to clean the garage up today so that I can have a good go at the cars this weekend, have 4 ball joints, 2 front outer CV's to change. A new door to paint and fit, as well as finishing painting the rest of the bodywork that has been repaired. Then finally fit a second seat ready for castle combe Oh and also put the top of the engine back together as most of it is in bits on the bench!! The joys of mini ownership.

Got the spare brakelight working and changed the oil filter with some help and poses for mini magazine

Buffed his chrome bits, got the wheel trim back on, next up need to get the chrome side strips on so waiting to go shopping for a few things.

Unsiezed the handbrake. Finally bothered to buy the right kit to do it. x1 trolley jack. x1 brake spanner. x1 can of releasing spray. x4 cups of tea.


Can now get it into the garage ready to sand down and spray. hee hee

Found out that the previous owner didn't fit the bottom gearbox steady right and watched it bounce down the road in my rear-view mirror.

put some new points and a condenser in and cleaned the connector where the condenser fits as it was full of engine oil!!!
and my car still works! yay

Drove her for the 1st time in 10 days (work commitments). Nice reminder of how much fun it is.

Brought George home from Stoke last night
Got it started... at 7.30 this morning, the first time in a long long time, neighbours wernt happy

Then stripped out the interior and started searching for the rusty bits

Took the driver door off to find a pretty big hole in the hinge panel! Whoops! Thats another job to add to the ever-growing list

Looks good miniluke, looks shiny! Did you spray it? I sort of wish I had painted my engine BMC green rather than black now, not that you can see much of it in an MPi.

Today I am going to put my cars front wheels back on the ground! Hardly progress though as there's still no rear subframe
