Then I polished my 1310 cc 1964 Cooper 'S' rally car, checked it all over and took my friend out in it as he is going to drive that one on the run tomorrow. He then drove me in it to get used to the engine characteristics as it's very 'cammy'.

After replacing the exhaust manifold
Replacing the engine (Previous owner hadn't changed the oil probably in about a year, oil pump was starting to go)
Replacing the choke cable
Replacing the throttle cable
Replacing the o/s window and mechanism
Replaced the n/s rear brake back plate
Freed off the adjusters on both sides that were seized (Had new shoes in but they hadn't been adjusted one bit)
Cleared both washer jets
Screwed the instrument panel onto the back of the dash (Previous owner had used sellotape to hold it on...)
Welded the bulkhead bracket that the previous owner had snapped from ragging the car.
Had the realism that the 11 Months Mot was as bent as a roundabout!
Then Managed to melt the positive battery cable to the lambda boss on the exhaust. Ive never seen a negative battery cable on fire before!
Got recovered.
Drove the purple mini to work. Destroyed a Chav in a lime green nova off the lights, Then proceeded to sit at thirty with him about three inches away from my bottom..well i wouldn't want to be naughty and break the speed limit now would i...

it happened when the engine steady bracket tore away from the bulkhead, all fun and games though!
so went to storage to pick up some bits, and picked up my spare exhaust manifold and maniflow centre exit system, should be fitting tommorow!
