More yesterday than today if i'm honest, but I finally got round to having the tyres fitted to two of the wheels I’d been refurbishing on the cheap. The lacquer is just drying on the last two as I type and should be on the car by the end of the week.

So far they have cost me £56 for the wheels to start with, £9 for 6 cans of primer, £18 for 5 cans of silver, £20 for 5 cans of clear and £112 for 4 new tyres. But then I can take £46 off that for the other set of wheels I sold. So the way I’m looking at it the wheels cost me a tenner and just under £50ish for the paint.

Used it to get some compost. Got 4 of these in! The boot fits one perfectly :D I only went for seeds, I'd have taken the estate if I'd planned better!

Got the dash back in on mine last night after doing some mods to various bits, last thing to do, (hopefully tonight) will be to set the ride height then it should be ready for an MOT on Saturday!

After mega stress morning (non mini related) i opened the garage door, looked at my pride n joy, sat in it, looked at it bit more, polished it a bit, looked at it a bit more, checked a few things, looked at it a bit more, sat in it again, thought about taking it for a run - it was raining so no chance, looked at it again, polished a bit more, looked at it and closed the garage door- STRESS FREE. Wish i could bottle it i'd make a fortune!!

On the other hand i'd have spent even more on the 2 year rebuild!

was friday, but rebuilt the front wheel hubs, blasted cleaned and painted them in refurbished red, then fitted new bearings and ball joints, three of which were a doddle, the fourth was on and off like a whores draws until i got it shimmed properly.

oh and a bit late i know, but i painted the Union Flag on the underside over the easter (school ) hols!
any idiot can have a Union Flag on the roof, it takes a special kind of idiot to have one on the underside!!
