What Did You Do To Your Mini Today

Spent 3 hours tracing through the whole of the electrics on the car to suddenly realise I'd forgot to reconnect the earth for the hazard relay and the sidelights fault was down to a dodgy fuse. It looked fine and was testing fine on the continuity setting on the multi meter when I was holding it, but turned out that the end cap on the fuse was loose so when it was slotted back into the fusebox, wasn't making any connection. So, an evening waste

Cleaned it all, clamped my welder on, got the parts in the right place, go to strike the arc and ...
Out of wire.

Now I need to decide what to do with the other rear doorcard; another beano one or dandy? I'm liking the idea of beano and dandy.

Removed all the parts to fit my stage 1 kit, replaced a broken engine mount. Didn't have time to fit the stage 1 kit, so that's tomorrow morning sorted. Also lacquered and fitted my rear passenger-side doorcard, which I have covered in beano comic strips. Looks neat and rather 'old skool' although I did cause a bit of a tear when fitting it, which is a shame but it's not too noticeable and I can always just glue another strip on over it and apply a bit of lacquer to that patch with it fitted in the car.

beano and dandy go well together
