It wouldn't start for some strange reason. Turned out it was a faulty spade connector to the starter motor. I cleaned the connectors, installed a new insulated spade connector, replaced the terminal block and boom she started up, lol! Hopfully no more issues... MOT on Thursday.

It was fitted with double springs. Needed single like the head I took off. It's a 12g202Was this because the double valve springs had been fitted, or needed fitting? Standard head otherwise?
Removed reconditioned head due to double valve springs fitted( company wanted the head back) It was slow to rev and didn't hit over 4.5k!! New one on its way.
Replacement head arriving tomorrow.

Took it for its MOT and it passed with no advisoires.
Definitely going to get it out the garage and use it more this summer.

It went on a rolling road today to try and sort out all the problems I just could not get to grips with.
Now running very well on its standard Metro engine transplant.
Nothing more than should be delivered from a stock 1275 Metro engine but decent enough and now all the hesitance and "stodgy performance" is gone.
Well worth the spend I think.
Had it fettled at AtSpeed Racing near me in Rayleigh Essex.
