Fitted new break pads, but now the front breaks are squeeling?
Standard break discs, but with Mintex pads.... why does it squeek when I break ? It never did it before.....
As said before grease on the back of the pads helps prevent squeaking. It could just be that the pads need to be left to bed in. When they are first fitted it is likely that the pads are not set up perfectly squarley to the disc. If a small fraction of the pad touches first it will cause vibrations and therefore noise. Once they have worn square they should be fine (Y)

Thank you for the advice
I didn't put any copper grease on the back's of the pads, I've never heard of doing that before! It only squeels when I come to a stop, if I press the brakes hard it doesn't squeel, but if I gentle on the brakes, thats when it seems to make the noise.
I will take the pads out tomorrow and put a bit of cooper grease on the back of the pads, I hope it stops them squeeling! I had great succsess today and managed to fit my new rear break shoes (also got mintex) now my handbreak is much better and the brakes in generall seem to be really good
Thanks again. Will let you know if it works!

It's like she knew I was on the brink of 'mini-hatred'. Had to give her a thank-you peck on the steering wheel. Swarfega time!

Most frustrating thing i'v ever done in my life though! All the holes were in the wrong place, its so thick that I couldnt put the nuts on the hinge threads. Its thickness also means it wont close unless you cut away half of the rubber seal.
Finished now though so its all good in the hood.
