Fixed the exhaust blowing with Holts gun gum putty and pot riveted the left arch (where one rivet came loose). Himley Hall show prep!

Looked at it longingly as I'm banned from starting it until I've finished the house ...
... Might fit some door handles (to the house) tonight

MOT passed after last weekend’s stater relay & main beam woes.
Now discovered that the ignition switch is worn, as it won’t make contact when trying to turn the key.
New ignition switch ordered!

I had an horrendous noise which I tracked down to the centre nut on the rear bumper had become slightly loose. This allowed the centre section of the bumper to vibrate on the body work underneath.
Found it by accident as I lent against the bumper when trying to find the cause of the noise. I thought it was coming from behind the petrol tank.so had the boot lid off to get in closer to the tank.

It seems to have been cold and pouring with rain in the west of the Scotland for 3 weeks now, it's wipers aren't very good and I don't have a handy garage to work on it in, hopefully will get some TLC soon

Finally fitted the 3 clock dash, all works bar the left indicator light (it's not the bulb, I've checked/swapped). I'll have to pull it all out at some stage.
Fitted the new left wiper/right indicator stalks which are new Tudor ones from eBay. Indicator stalk worked fine but the wiper stalk played up by not working on the down stroke for single wipe. Turned out to be an issue inside the stalk so that will be going back. Had an old original spare stalk so drilled out the rivets and fitted that, works fine. Strangely enough, the return for the wiper works once, then stops working, so new wiper park switch ordered and hopefully that will sort it. washer jets are abysmal, the motor sounds ok so I've got new hose and jets to install.
Rang up Minisport last week for a rolling road session. Their rolling road is broken with no ETA on getting it fixed so have booked in to RE Performance in Bury later this week for a tune up.
Had a quick look under the engine - there's a spare bracket at the front of the gearbox - am I missing an engine steady and do I need it?

Sorted out the horrendous noise as mentioned above.
Took the rear bumper off and discovered the threads on the centre captive bolt were worn so nut would not stay tight.
Cut it off and drilled through the captive part that was left. In fact did it on all three fixing points and just used new nuts and bolts with spring washers. Would have used lock nuts but only had two in the spares box. Very annoying will replace
the normal nuts with lock nuts later.

Your photo has just convinced me I need to refit the original boomerang wheel to mine, can't see the clocks properly at the moFinally fitted the 3 clock dash, all works bar the left indicator light (it's not the bulb, I've checked/swapped). I'll have to pull it all out at some stage.

So easy to get off too. I can get my hand through the wheel and get some good purchase for turning the 165/70/10's whilst stationary!
Re my earlier query about the gearbox bracket, I had a look on the front subframe - although it looks brand new, there is no bracket for the front lower engine steady.
Just noticed that the metal CV boot clip had come undone and there was a little grease sprayed on the lower suspension arms. I've put new grease in and had to use a cable tie for now until my new metal clips/tolls come from eBay. I would have left it but I'm travelling to Bury on Thursday for the rolling road and didn't want to take a chance.
