Bought a Gunson Eezibleed and bled the brakes after swapping out the master cylinder - what a simple but effective bit of kit!

While filling up yesterday morning prior to a quick half hour blast I bumped into a friend in his GT40 kit car. Ended up in Wales at the kit car groups power run day at AB garage in Hawarden. Those kit cars can bloody move lol

Removed my parcel shelf and fitted a couple of Pioneer speakers, as per this thread. https://www.theminif...f-speakers-mpi/

I didn't bother finding OEM looking covers, and whilst I did drill them for the 3 hole pattern I ended up not using them, and sticking with the 4 standard holes to attach the covers.

My car was retrimmed in the late 2000s and it gained this hardboard parcel shelf covered with vinyl. It seems sturdy enough to hold the speakers with a bit of underfelt. I guess as standard you didn't get this?

Dropped it off at the garage to have a new down pipe and gasket on gearbox fitted. Turns out the downpipe was touching the driveshaft, its leaking anyway. Don't know how, but the whole exhaust has been pushed forward!

Journey-time going home was a lot less than the journey-time getting to Nutts :-)

Filled up my '68 with petrol in a small Welsh village. Not that exciting... except that when I pulled onto the forecourt a bod came out of the office, unhooked the nozzle, and started to fill the car for me. Time-warp. He wouldn't accept shillings in payment, though.

I want to map it to 20psi, but run it at 18. The issue isn't necessarily the boost level, it's the engine rpm. It started demanding 120% injector duty past 5000rpm at 16psi, which is barmy considering the size of the injectors.

Checked the piece of paper underneath mini in my garage after work. Annoyingly, still weeping oil from gearbox! It had new oil seals when work was done last week with my mini guy, while in for welding, and will now need to go back. Maybe a bad batch of seals from the shelf, or they didn't put them on properly? Hummm.... All under warranty, though.

Picked it up this morning, from my mini guy, after having new o/s diff gaskets and o ring seals to stop mysterious oil leak after the other new seals fitted few weeks back (as mentioned above). A success and no more leaking!

Now to get in contact with 'John Ashley Exhausts' to see if they can do the adjustments for my exhaust saga.
