I'm afraid I scratched him ... :)

Attached File  scratch.jpg   40.85K   6 downloads

At some time last night in the garage the strimmer toppled against his nearside door pillar, leaving a 10cm scrape mark.
Then the metal stepladder, which hasn't been moved in six months, also decided to fall on him but didn't leave a mark :withstupid:
I wonder if someone or something was stomping about on the roof?

Considering he has to work carrying stuff now & then he's probably been lucky.

So I took him down to the local Tesco building site to watch the big diggers, dumpers & dozers.

It seemed to cheer him up and later we executed a most satisfactory overtake of a tractor in his favourite gear, 2nd. :)

Cruised to college and had some man wag his finger at me . Also fitted my cigerette ligher, drained some coolant and refilled with antifreeze, and in the process of the previous, found the breather hose was broken, so refitted that. Next, I hoovered out the whole interior, first time since I've had him(!) and finally replaced one of the side trims which fell off. Just need to wash him now. I love days like this, makes me proud to be a mini-er..

Washed it and then gave it a good run on some fast roads. Tried to adjust idle speed by the throttle cable but butterfly is sticking!

Nevermind, it went like a stunner down those roads

Replaced the Accelerator cable with a nice new one and noticed the engine earth strap was almost worn through :D
So a quick rummage through the odds and sods box and replaced it with some nice new 35mm earth cable :)
Then took him for a well deserved blast.
