Hooked up the new trickle charger to the battery in the garage. It's been off for nearly two weeks and the battery was still full. Didn't expect that!

Fitted a hazard warning kit to my 68S.  Cut no wires nor drilled no holes.  Pleased and feel a bit safer when I end up on a 'Smart' motorway...

Dodged the rain to check it over for MOT. Couldn't find any problems but covering  less than fifty miles since the last one I wasn't expecting any :shy:

I have had a rather productive day working on my 1992 Mini Cooper, Heater matrix has been removed, motor out, and fixed and reassembled so it now works just have to re-install it, but that is a next week job. I have also installed a 12v socket and got my radio working. so a very productive day.

MOT passed :D

Second attempt as failed on emissions first time. The technician wouldn't let me tweak the mixture as he said they were running late and had no time so I bought a Gunsons gas analyser and tweaked it at home - all good now.

Ported out a manifold, eased a brand new throttle spindle for a SU which had obviously been ground badly ( or perhaps this is the quality SU are now at) and looked despairingly at a set of A+ exhaust valves from Minispares which are so piss poor there going back with a snotty email.

Gave her a quick wipe over with meguiars waterless wash & wax & sorted out the various paint chips & fitted the fog lamp lense from my old Mini as it was split down the centre of the lens.

Will be taking her out for a drive tomorrow & possibly fitting the stainless bumpers in my stock as they are in better condition than the ones on her

Refitted my cabin heater having managed to fix it for the costly sum of £4, taken it for a test drive to confirm the system doesn't leak, looked at fitting my new interior but that will wait until later in the week.
