Now that's a useful tip, I have been thinking of re-foaming my seats,.. maybe these pads are a good idea too... Did you slide it into/under the seat cover?

My seats have the seat cover wired into the foam, so I had to fit it under the foam.

Refurbished the door lock mechanism. Sand, prime, paint.
Cleaned the garage, put tools away and looked at the box of miispares bits and bobs before next order.

Finally managed to get piglet out of the shed and removed the head to confirm another blown gasket. Sent the head off to the doctor for a checkup.

I drove my 1990 Cooper road-rally car for the first time since 2005, having bought it back in 2020 and completed a full resto.
It passed the MoT with no advisories. Just got to set the mixture which was leaned off to pass emissions test 😉. Then just got to run in the new rings and bearings and off we go

Checked my rear wheel camber and left wheel was spot on at -0.5 degrees, but right rear wheel had a positive camber of just over +1.5 degrees. So bought a camber adjustment bracket (the screw type not the ridged plate type). What a bloody pain. Firstly the two self tappers in the little side cover plate on the mini were seized and I had to grind and drill them out. Then when fitting the new bracket only two of the bolt holes lined up so that all could be fitted, including the radius arm bolt that was too big for the hole in the bracket. Had to open that up slightly, but more so on a couple of the other bolt holes. Not hard to do, but what should have been a quick job just turned into a swearing, frustrating session.

Not strictly for our Mini, but a pal (I know you lurk here sometimes, Mark!) asked for some replacement knobs (stop that sniggering) so I made some...

(excuse the chatter, my tiny lathe doesn't like radius cuts)

And with the original stickers on...
