Replaced a steering rack gaiter which had suffered from the dreaded rubber rot, appears to be too usual these days.
Let's hope the replacement lasts longer.

Finished stripping and cleaning the box from a 1300 engine which had metal chips in the oil. (I bought the engine less head for a fiver:) )
Now I understand what happened to this engine.
Idler bearing failure, which damaged the clutch and box housing and the drop gears. But I think the box itself is salvagable.

Fitted a horn to my MPi, with a temporary spare from my motorcyle parts stock.
Any recommendations for a permanent replacement?
Not air horns, just a staightforward single horn.

So after fitting new seat belts and a phone holder I took the Mini for a very enjoyable drive down to Seaford (between Eastbourne and Newhaven), Parked on the front away from all the other cars
When I returned a car had parked over the marked bays and so close to the Mini I dont know how they got out of there car , I checked for damage luckily all was OK.
