This weekend it will be:
-refit rear lights
-refit tank & pipes
-consider running engine with no exhaust to check it still fires up 
-consider fitting new maniflow exhaust if a some welding can still be done with it in situ.
...feels too cold to spray paint the wing today 
Will post some pics and may even set up an Instagram with all the photos to date

Started strip down of Austin 1100 engine which turned over with a few squirts of plusgas down the bores and loosening of the mains/big end caps.
Initially looking quite good, off to my local engine shop to measure and see where we're at.

Whilst the inlet & exhaust manifolds were out, I treated some rusty patches on the bulkhead with some Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80.
That stuff is amazing!

Pulled the front subframe from my mini.
Removed all the dirt, gunk and primer to get a chance to evaluate the overall state.
Not a bad as first assumed.😁
During evaluation I was thinking about enforcing the two jack points, by welding additional plates on.

Cam timing set using split lift at tdc,
Checked also on no1 inlet to be the same,
Also checked the old way using the tdc and timing disc/degrees,
Spun up on starter motor for 30 secs to 70 psi
