Steering column removed, as well as clutch master cylinder. All i need now is the pedal box out and its a bare shell.

Replaced the manifold gasket ( found out that my PTC heater was shot, so now added to the list of bits needed lol).
Started to go through the birds nest of a wiring loom as the battery drains flat when its left.
On that subject can anyone offer any advice on what this may have been fitted and connected to.

Finally got her running again after a head gasket replacement which has been delayed by the dreaded COVID! Time to get tax sorted and she can take me to and from work again!

Took the Mk1 out for an essential shopping trip, unfortunately got lost so ended up traveling around most of Essex looking for a shop that sold green fag papers, also topped up the battery by driving it

Got the mini up on the jig yesterday, more bracing and floor out to do.

Made some brackets to bolt into the seat mounts on the front of the crossmember so then be welding to the bracing so i can cut the floor out.

Working om my mini I bought back from the guy I sold it to. Been sat in a dry barn for some years. Not much rust, but a lot to go over. 

-Put together one side of the suspension with new red dots, modded hilos and new knuckle. 

-Cleaned up disk and mounted refurbuished caliper and new pads. 

-welded on capitive nut on bottom rad bracket, mounted rad and new pipes.

-Oil filter change change

-Checked fuel delivery to carb ok. 

-Tried to start, would just fire on start gass, so carb must be blocked. Least I know that the igntion side is working. Good oil pressure

-Found water pipling out of the waterpump hole, so another thing to fix.

Tintable raptored the boot, top tip don’t panel wipe with you’re head in the boot too long WOW!!!!! ?
