I had also fitted the dash cards and air vents, tidied up the top part of the grill and re fitted it, last few jobs before its first mot in 30 years on Tuesday

Looking good, when are the GT stripes going on?

We do have them to put on, we were waiting for my nephew to polish it up first but he said today to just put em on and he'll work round them. Bit scared to do them to be honest

Looked at my Mini that's been parked up for 6 months and wondered when I'll get time to pull out the engine and fix the gearbox

. Bit scared to do them to be honest

They are relatively painless to do. I prefer to stick them laying on my side. Use 1" tape to make the height and create a straight edge to work to and watch out for the letters and numbers of mini1275gt when you peel the paper off as the paper can seperate and leave a layer on the back of them so keep an eye out for that. I think every set I have done did that!

Thanks Ben. The stripes before the resto were at different heights, didn't realise till I made a bit of garage art with the old door skins, they were a good half inch different, so never knew what was right lol

Went for a drive home to Ribblesdale to see my mum. Glad that wheelie bin was there. I should pull my trousers up!

Got it up on some axle stands, replaced the gear selector seal in the gearbox.

That's a cracking b&w shot.

You have a series, too?
