Clutch behaving in a most peculiar way going soft then hard etc. - so decided to change the 20 year old fluid. It's an MPI so lots of garbage to move to one side. ECU etc. In the end became frustrated with the whole deal so just shoved a load of towels under the bleed nipple and blew the old fluid out in a slightly more basic manner. Mate on the clutch yelling "down" me on the spanner....... It worked! Clutch is fine and not too much mess.

Fitted a new CAT to it today, as well as new dizzy cap, rotor arm, new plug leads and also fitted some quick realise grill buttons to the grill, hopefully rocker gasket, sparks and oil change tomorrow.

Finally got round to one of the first jobs I had identified when I bought it almost 18 months ago! The drivers seat looked ok but felt really soggy compared to the passenger side, so I removed the drivers seat, removed the upholstery from the base, and while it was out I repainted the lower frame where it had rubbed on the carpet protectors and gone rusty, fitted a new squab foam and webbing and replaced the cover, it now looks a feels like new! Being leather I decided to feed it with Autoglym leather care as it looked very dry and dull, it looked really nice until it fully dried and soaked in and now doesn't look much different than before!
I have now order a set of carpet protectors as they have cracked and broken, so that's the next job but it looks like the entire carpet needs to come out.
