Checked it over for its MOT tomorrow. Hardly done any miles in the last year with various head gasket issues. Ready to roll at 7 in the morning!

To celebrate the Mini's Birthday (which also was my personal deadline to finish the major part of , took her up a very steep Alpine Pass that was part of the Rallye Of Austria in 1966 (won by Hopkirk on you already know what) max. Gradient 16%. Had to shift back to first at times, but she handled it just fine.
Carb needle got a bit stuck going back, easily fixed on the road...

Tightened up the fan belt tension, so that the alternator actually charges the battery!
Put the battery on charge, as it was reading 12.2v across the terminals. Suspect I’ll need a new battery at some point.

The adjuster was seized, so Plus Gas & brute force was my friend.
A healthy dollop of copper grease applied after everything had freed up.

Took the Mini for a drive to Eastbourne and it performed very well in the heat, other than the temperature gauge being a bit erratic, need to order a new sender unit.
