Not bad considering, followed by my MPI (in shell form) and a cut up shell I 'saved'.

replaced the rear subframe! took 6 hours and a lot of f*ing and blinding, not to mention the bloody knuckles. nothing would line up... all sorted now though.

Stripped the engine down ready to lift out in the morning. Changing the standard cam to a SW5, changing the speedo drive worm and pinion and a few other little jobs to do.

Took it for a drive down to my local Lamborghini showroom for a photo

Fantastic! I assume you just pulled up and parked cheekily, took the pick and p*ssed off rather than asked them to pull some cars out of the showroom so you could include your car in the photo! ???

They had lots of new Lamborghinis parked up ready for a photo shoot, so I asked if I could take one with the Mini, they said to park it in front of the showroom and were happy for me to take a few photos, they were very polite and helpful and loved the Mini.

Amazing...all about right time, right place! I asked as that's what I did whilst I was in Italy in my mini a couple of years back...visited a very expensive hotel (with its own drive) on the Italian coast...drove in, parked the car right outside the front doors, got out and took many photos, jumped back in and drove off ?????

My Berkeley Mini hybrid has had some very important preliminary work caried out on the tool lincage (me); I have just had a hip operation. Should not be too many weeks before I can  repair my lathe and start making a few necsessary additions. My hope is to be road running next year.

Passed mot no advisory thank goodness , and replaced the steady bar bushes...poly ones split utter rubbish they were only replaced about 4 years ago.
