Yesterday I did a long round trip with my Land-Rover and trailer of 740 miles to Stirling in Scotland from near Cambridge to collect the Mini which my Grandson originally restored in 2009 and which has has bought back from the guy to whom he sold it in 2011. Wow, that was a long day and it took about 7.5 hours each way with 3/4 of an hour to load it.
Today I have been taking it off the trailer and doing an initial assessment of the work required.
Today I have to move the Minis around in the workshop so that I can dry-store it until I have finished the restoration of my black/white 1990 Cooper rally car.
It's good to have it back home again.
What is amazing is how well my 1997 Land-Rover Discovery 300 TDi, which I bought for £650 3.5 years ago, drove all day without missing a beat. It used quite a bit of fuel, but we were averaging between 55 and 60 mph all the time.

Finished fitting the Stage 1 Kit, going on the rollers next week.
Tip: I removed the 2nd exhaust bolt from the right, from the head and the 3 branch exhaust went in very easily.
