Taxed it :)
Ready for a run tomorrow. Going to pick the little one up from school in it for the first time.

Well that went well - Good long run, nothing fell off, clumsy stall at traffic lights left me begging for jump start from a passing Hyundai. It seems I have a charging issue :)
No School run today - I'll save her the embarrassment of having to get a jump start in front of school!!

Today me and my new wife drove from Chester to the lake district for our honeymoon, it was a bit loud but it was brilliant fun.

Thank you both, we are back home now after a lovely few days in the lakes. The mini was fab, didn't miss a beat and was such a joy to drive.

I went to Mini Spares at Potters Bar and spent a quite indecent amount of cash on lots of parts for the resto of my newly-acquired 1990 Cooper .

Ordered an S disc conversion.
Checked the 6 screws on my steering wheel after finding a nut on the carpet. Yep that's where it came from.

Put the bottom radiator hose back on at the waterpump end after it decided to pop off on the way home from work.
Ordered an S disc conversion.
Checked the 6 screws on my steering wheel after finding a nut on the carpet. Yep that's where it came from.
Is that the conversion with the hubs, discs and calipers for about £180. I was looking at this myself but haven't committed yet.
Oh and nearly got my rear subframe off. Fortunately no bolts seized but access was easier with radius arms off. Just the two front rear mount bolts which are clearly longer than they should be as my deep socket wont fit over them.

Subframe out and doesn't look too bad. The front mounting points look solid too but not the wheel arch just above it. Nice big hole to plate at some point. Almost ready for the rear to go on the jig and then start on removing the front subframe.
