I finished off recovering my steering wheel and fitted it (it only took me four attempts this is my son just checking it works!

Rebuilt my gearbox..Again!! Fitted straight cut drop gears.

got a bit of a leak on the carb so thought id have a look but couldn't see anything for the amount of muck thats built up
so out with the degreaser and steam cleaner (hand held)
Gunk was useless but Mr Muscle oven cleaner is brilliant

still cant figure out where the smell of petrols coming from though???

cut all the rust out my wheel arch, now just got to make a plate up and weld it.

fitted and rewired a different alternator and new belt
hoovered half of it, the carpets are full of what appears to be cat hair from the previous owner then refitted the seats
Started adjusting my ride height after fitting coil springs

Had a look at the carb because I found that when I pressed the accelerator the car would hold back and then accelerate, then found out that the vacuum units between the dizzy and the carb are aged (cracked), so ordered some new ones so hopefully will fix the problem.

changed my thermostat from an 88 to an 82, and topped up my water other than that nowt except drive it to halfords.

finished fabricating and fitting my custom flipfront hinges and brace bars

Ripped the front bumper off, Got a new arche (Front drivers side blew off on the motor way)
Give it a good scrub and cleaned all the inside

Haven't driven her today, but yesterday, installed a new alloy radiator on the side of the road, as she crapped out on me 5 minutes from my house. Thanks to my little lady for dropping some tools and the new radiator off to me.

scratched the paintwork ( yesterday ), got feed up , going back to garage now whilst sun is out.
