Cleaned up my spark plugs, checked the mixture, swapped the license plat and rear fog light bulbs, and ordered more parts

Had this myself a few years back and I lost a stone in weight, not good. Hope you’re over it!

Been a bit busy today, now I feel better after being laid up for almost 2 weeks.
Fitted Oil pressure gauge using W&P fitting kit, dead easy it was to do too - replaced the non functioning ammeter.
Also fitted HID headlights, please dont start with the "you need washers installing and be able to move them etc..." - no you don't, I asked my MoT man and he said as long as the beam pattern is OK he'll be happy...

Looked at it, tsk'd a bit, and said "flipping fuel pump".

My speedometer hit the 100,000 miles mark on my mini today, as for the rest of the car I doubt if there are very many other parts that have managed anywhere near the same achievement.
This equates to an average of 2,632 miles a year.

Started to wire up the voltmeter. Just need an inline fuse to finish it off.
Finished wiring up the voltmeter & final installation tonight.
But discovered the voltmeter doesn’t work. Even tested it with a battery charger.
Will be sending it back!

Fitted a new mechanical fuel pump, spacer block and gaskets as the diaphragm in the old pump had given up. What a fiddly job! Fitted a new battery also.

I did some work on the instrument panels of my 1964 rally 'S'.
This included moving the ignition warning light to the driver's panel to make it easier to see.
I bought a new electric Dymo Tape Machine, so I made all new labels for everything on the panel and put them all on.
